Nominations Sought for the
U.S. Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association Awards
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association invites nominations for the following 2007 Alumni Association Awards. Presentation of the Awards will be at the Homecoming Awards Dinner on October 4, 2007, at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
Submit your letter of nomination for the 2007 awards by April 30, 2007 to:

Letters should include the following information:
Nominee: Present duty station or home address; USCGA Class;
Reason(s) why this alumnus/a should receive the award.
Nominator: Present duty station and/or home address; USCGA Class; office and home telephone numbers.
Distinguished Alumnus Award
- Nominee must be a graduate of U.S. Coast Guard Academy
- Nominee must have distinguished himself/herself in his/her career in and/or out of the Coast Guard
- Nominee must have Significant Professional or Civic Service
- Nominee must be considered an outstanding role model for cadets.
Alumni Achievement Award
- Nominee must be a graduate of U.S. Coast Guard Academy
- Nominee must have significant achievement in career or private life: In and/or out of the Coast Guard/Significant Professional or Civic Service
- Nominees class must have graduated no more than 20 years ago. (For 2007 Award, Nominee must have been in Class of 87 or later).
- Nominee must be considered an outstanding role model for cadets.
Distinguished Faculty Award
- Nominee must be a senior faculty member at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy
- Nominee must exemplify the most positive aspects of the art of teaching and must extraordinarily inspire students instilling in them a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
- Recipients of this award will be selected by a committee appointed by the USCGA Dean of Academics
Distinguished Philanthropist Award
- Nominee must have contributed significant financial support to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy or the USCGA Alumni Association.
- Nominee must be considered an outstanding role model for cadets.
Distinguished Volunteer Award
- Nominee must have volunteered a significant amount of time in unpaid service to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy or the USCGA Alumni Association.
- Nominee must be considered an outstanding role model for cadets.
Distinguished Service Award
- Nominees personal efforts, support, dedication, commitment, and service must have extraordinarily contributed to the U. S. Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association.
- Nominee must be considered an outstanding role model for cadets.
