Coast Guard Wins the Secretaries' Cup
For the first time in three years, the Secretaries' Cup is back in New London! The Bears rallied in the second half of the football game to beat the Mariners 42-31. They also swept the competition in Volleyball (winning 3-2) and Soccer (winning 1-0).

Stosz' 82 to Continue CG Career beyond 2015
RADM Sandra Stosz '82 was selected to continue her career in the Coast Guard following her current tour as Superintendent at the Academy, which ends in the summer of 2015. "I have gone further than I have ever expected to go," she said in a recent article published in The Day.

All Alumni Invited to Attend Columbarium Dedication
All alumni are invited to attend the USCG Columbarium Dedication Ceremony on October 17, 1400 at the Academy's Crown Park, where 13 alumni and/or their spouses will be inurned.

Bears Dedicate Season to LT Thomas "Jimmy" Crotty '34
During halftime of the Secretaries' Cup game, the Coast Guard honored LT Thomas "Jimmy" Crotty - a 1934 graduate of the Academy and football captain. During World War II, he was captured on Corregidor Island in the Philippines and became of prisoner-of-war in 1942. He perished as the Coast Guard's only POW from that conflict in 1944.
