Applications sought for 4 Board Member Seats
Applications are requested to fill four seats on the Board of Directors for four-year terms beginning January 1, 2016. Deadline is May 31.

Nominate a Classmate for a 2015 Alumni Award
All members are invited to submit nominations for the following 2015 Alumni Association Awards: Distinguished Alumnus, Alumni Achievement, Distinguished Volunteer, and Distinguished Service. Deadline is May 31.

Academy Mourns Loss of Two Cadets
The CGA community is in mourning as we remember two cadets from the country of Georgia, First Class Cadet Soso Makaridze and Third Class Cadet Bersarian Gorjoladze, who were lost in a tragic car accident on March 7.

Eagle's Summer Training Schedule
The Coast Guard Barque Eagle will leave Baltimore April 29 bound for New London to commence the 2015 cadet summer training program with port stops along the eastern seaboard from the Bahamas to New York City to Maine.

Baseball: Bears Sweep Merchant Marine
3/c Luke Sniatkowski pitched 6 2/3 innings and 1/c Blake Thompson tripled twice, drove in two runs and registered the save as Coast Guard remained unbeaten and completed a three-game sweep of arch rival Merchant Marine for the first time since 2006 with a 6-3 win at the Gene Cusic Classic over spring break.

Cadets Gain Leadership Skills at Annual Conference
Over 30 junior high and high school students participated in the cadet-run CDR Hank and Gloria Fisher '53 Youth Leadership Conference at the Academy in February, which is intended to give cadets experience in managing and executing a leadership program.

Teaching Life and Leadership Lessons through Sailing
"I have the best job in the world," writes LCDR Zeke Lyons, the Academy's Hotel Company Officer. He also sails with 2/c cadets on the L44 sailboats during the Coastal Sail Training Program each summer.

Academy Seeks Athletic Hall of Fame Nominees
Each year the Academy can add up to four regular members (graduates after their 20th anniversary of their graduation) and one honorary member (individuals who have made significant contributions to CGA Athletics).
