Academy Expels 14 for Synthetic Marijuana Use
An investigation recently completed and reviewed by academy officials found that 14 cadets were involved in the improper use of a synthetic substance that mimics the effects of marijuana. Eight others have been implicated in the incident or are under investigation.

Commandant Address Cadets, emphasizing importance of CG History
In a speech to the Corps of Cadets, ADM Bob Papp '75 shared insight on the Coast Guard’s rich history and how each moment in time becomes part of the fabric of our service, interlaced with ideals, values and character. “History is more than just our story. It also contains our values. Values you can seek to reflect ‒ of both individual accomplishment and collectively as a service,” Papp told the Corps.
