Alumni Tennis Match - Saturday, October 2
The Tennis Team has set aside October 2nd this fall to host another Alumni Match. Last year’s alumni squad included Captain P.J. Maguire, class of 1989, CDR Michael F. Wilson, class of 1989, CDR Timothy Haws, class of 1994, CDR Thomas Cooper, class of 1994, and LT John Garr, class of 1997. We will hold a match with as few as three alumni players. We can create a hybrid alumni team by pairing up alumni with some of our top players to create some pretty formidable doubles combinations. The cadets really enjoy meeting alumni, so if you are an alumnus/alumna attending this year’s Homecoming Weekend and you are interested in playing in an Alumni Match Saturday morning, before the football game, we would love to see you. Each year, the USCGA Alumni and Athletic Associations recognize individuals for
their outstanding contributions to the Association, the Academy, the
Coast Guard and the Nation. The honorees are officially recognized at this dinner.

Finish out the weekend with brunch at one of Mystic, CT's gems, the Mystic Seaport! Weather permitting, brunch will be held outside on the patio at Latitude 41 Restaurant (formerly the Seamen's Inne) overlooking the scenic Mystic River. You won't want to miss this special event and this last opportunity to socialize before heading home. Stay after brunch for a behind the scenes tour of the Mystic Seaport's collection.

Enjoy this once in a lifetime opportunity to view the secret spaces of Mystic Seaport. View their entire scrimshaw collection (one of the best in New England), explore their warehouse of antique boats, and meet the curators of this unique maritime museum. Tours will last around 45 minutes and will depart directly after brunch from Latitude 41 Restaurant (formerly the Seamen's Inne).

Many
of the official Homecoming 200 photos have been uploaded to the CGA's Flickr
page, where you can download the images in a variety of sizes. Once
you reach the site, entitled "US Coast Guard Academy's photostream",
click on the word "Sets" located just under the title. This will
display a number of "sets" or "galleries". Click on the one titled
"2009 CGA Homecoming". Click on either the photo icon or this title to
display thumbnails of all the photographs (142) in this set. If you
want to print the photo, click on the desired photo, then click on the
"All Sizes" tab just above the displayed photo. You can click on
"Download the Large Size" or click on the "Original" and download this
size. Once downloaded to your computer, you can either print them
yourself, or you can save them to a flash drive or CD and bring them
somewhere for printing.
