As part of the effort to raise funds for the Alumni Center, a donor brick plaza was created on the south side of the Center. Circular rings of bricks fan outward from a distinctive Soaring Eagle sculpture donated by the Class of 1960. Beginning near the center, recognition starts with the Class of 1896 and works outward to the Class of 2008. A separate section is maintained to recognize gifts from parents and friends.
Engraved bricks are placed in the plaza in recognition of a $1,000 donation to the Alumni Center Endowment. The funds collected from the brick program will ensure the continued operation and maintenance of the Alumni Center.
Newly engraved bricks are placed twice a year in May and October, prior to graduation and Homecoming. The brick may be paid over three calendar years and is fully tax deductible.
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy Alumni Center Plaza provides alumni, parents, and friends, a permanent way to honor their lifelong connection to the Academy through the purchase of an engraved brick. Please join the thousands of alumni and friends who have made the Alumni Center a reality by purchasing a brick today!
