Alum Sought for VP of Philanthropy 7/24/2017
The Association is seeking a Coast Guard Academy Alumnus/a with experience as a development officer to fill the position of Vice President of Philanthropy. The VP helps raise funds to support programs and activities that enhance the professional, personal, and academic experience of Academy Cadets, support for Academy Alumni, and fund initiatives that support the Academy in ways that appropriated funding has not and cannot provide.
Four Alumni to be Honored for their Heroism this November
The Academy will honor four alumni for their service during the annual Hall of Heroes ceremony. For their actions in the Vietnam War, ADM John Hayes ’47, VADM Kent Williams ’65, and CAPT John Austin ’45 will be inducted into the Wall of Gallantry, while VADM Thomas Sargent ’38 will be honored for his actions during WWII. Details about the November 9th ceremony will be shared in the August Bulletin.

Football Season Tickets Online
The August 12 deadline approaches for purchasing your season tickets, which are now available online. Prepare for an exciting season as the Bears play six home games and renew several old rivalries in a new conference as NEWMAC football debuts. The annual battle for the Secretaries' Cup has been moved to the final game of the 2017 season, on Veteran's Day, and will be broadcast by the ESPN Family of Networks.
